instructions-other-tools Why AgentHub's agent/workspace instructions reach only Claude and Codex — Cursor CLI and agy have no per-session way (tested 2026-10-12)
type
project

Tested 2026-10-12 (cursor-agent 2026.10.01, agy binary strings only — never ran agy, see agy-auto-updates-on-run):

  • Cursor CLI: no system-prompt flag. --plugin-dir is honoured only when Cursor's server flag enableUserLocalPlugins is on (off for this account — an always-apply rule in a plugin was ignored); --add-dir loads no rules. Rules load only from the cwd's .cursor/rules/AGENTS.md (control run confirmed) = the user's repo, forbidden.
  • agy: no per-session flag (/add-dir is a slash command); rules only from global ~/.gemini/GEMINI.md, ~/.gemini/config/rules/ (shared with the Antigravity IDE) or repo files.
  • Not installed here, unverified: copilot, grok, kimi, omp, opencode.

How to apply: GET /api/me/instructions returns tools (= SUPPORTED_TOOLS in server/lib/lane-sources.js) and the Settings card shows "Applies to" only for those, installed and enabled. Recheck Cursor's plugin-dir if they ungate it. Writing agy's global rules folder was offered to the user as an opt-in, not built.
