nntrivi2001 db2e61a74b chore: v2.8.66 — chat: notices, right-click, delete chat, Seen, chat button 2026-11-03 10:00:08 +07:00
nntrivi2001 03ebea1d92 fix(chat): the review's gaps — owner hand-over, live group lines, names, scroll, one tab's sound, uploads on disk, a chat button without the pet
- A group whose creator left or was deleted passes to its longest-standing
  member (ensureOwner), so it can still be managed.
- Group changes (added / removed / renamed / left) are sent live as
  chat_message and never count as unread, here or on the server.
- A disabled account is still named in old chats (people carries
  `disabled`) and never offered for a new one; a deleted one reads
  'Deleted user' instead of '?'.
- Load older keeps the message being read in place.
- With several tabs open only the first to see a message plays its sound /
  system notification (agenthub.chat.notified).
- The people list is read again on New chat and on every room change.
- Uploads go to <data dir>/chat/.incoming/ (multer disk storage) and are
  renamed into place — never held in memory; a refused one is removed.
- With the pet hidden, a chat button in the bottom-right corner (ChatDock,
  server mode) opens the same window, unread count and new-message card
  included.

nntrivi2001 c797e9868e feat(chat): delete a chat, disband a group, Seen — and purge what everyone deleted
Delete chat is the caller's alone: the history so far vanishes for them
(chat_members.cleared_id) and a direct chat leaves their list (hidden) until a
new message arrives; the others keep theirs. What EVERY member has deleted is
deleted for real (purge): messages up to the lowest cleared_id and their files
on disk, and a direct chat both people deleted, whole. Purge also runs when a
member leaves or is removed. A group's creator disbands it for everyone
(DELETE /api/chat/rooms/:id).

Seen: rooms carry every member's read mark (reads); a mark that moves is told
to the members (chat_read, exactAudience) and never passes the newest
message. Under your newest message: Seen / Seen by … / Seen by everyone.
A room open on a tab you come back to is marked read then.

nntrivi2001 0016b6a427 feat(chat): right-click menus everywhere in the chat, and deleting your own message
Rail: a room — open, mark as read, mute / unmute notifications (per browser,
the unread count still shows), copy name, group settings, leave; the pet and
+ — chat with the pet, new chat, mark all chats as read. A message — copy
text, reply (quotes it into the box), message the sender privately (group),
delete your own (asks first). A file — open in a new tab, download, copy file
name. A group member — message privately, copy name, remove (the creator).

DELETE /api/chat/rooms/:id/messages/:messageId deletes the caller's OWN text
message and its files (403 for anyone else, an admin included) and tells the
members with a chat_deleted frame (exactAudience).
2026-11-03 09:47:32 +07:00
nntrivi2001 0d3e92cfda feat(chat): a new message shows on the pet; chat panels scroll one way only
A message from someone else in a room not on screen raises a card on the
pet (sender · group, the text or its files; click opens the room, gone after
10 s), plays the notification sound when notifications are on, and while
the tab is hidden shows a local system notification — never through the
server's push relay, which would reach other users' devices.

Group settings scrolled both ways (the name field and Rename overflowed, the
add-people list scrolled inside the panel): one vertical scroll now, the
field shrinks, the list grows in place. Every chat list hides horizontal
overflow and a long word or link wraps.

nntrivi2001 1dd2521183 chore: v2.8.65 — chat between users, own-only counts, slower scroll 2026-11-03 09:36:54 +07:00
nntrivi2001 21a042dc2b feat(chat): direct chats and groups between users in the pet's window
Server mode: a rail beside the pet's chat lists the pet, then the user's
direct chats (one per pair) and groups with unread counts, and + for a new
chat. A room shows its messages (group senders named), loads older pages,
and sends text, pasted / dropped / attached files (<= 10 x 25 MB; images
inline). A group's creator renames it and adds or removes people; anyone may
leave. A blue dot on the pet counts unread messages.

Only a room's members read or write it, an admin included (roomFor → 404).
Files are stored under server-made names in <data dir>/chat/<room>/ and
served to members only under a sandbox CSP + nosniff. chat_message /
chat_room frames reach exactly the ids in `to` (scope.exactAudience).
New tables chat_rooms / chat_members / chat_messages / chat_files (additive).

nntrivi2001 85edc88a6d fix(status-bar): running / need-you count only the viewer's own sessions
An admin's status bar and the Dashboard's Needs-you strip counted every
user's waiting sessions; both now ask GET /api/sessions with mine=1, like
Today's spend already did.
2026-11-03 09:07:06 +07:00
nntrivi2001 c229b4b79b fix(pet): each user's pet tells only of their own sessions
An admin/analyst's pet counted every user's sessions (live, waiting, errors)
because their WebSocket carries everyone's. Server mode now marks their
session/agent/event frames `mine: true|false` (scope.broadcastAudience owners,
worked out once per broadcast), and GET /api/sessions?mine=1 lists only the
caller's own sessions (ownSessionWhere). The pet seeds from mine=1 and skips
frames marked mine: false. Developers and local mode are unchanged.

nntrivi2001 9721941962 feat(terminal): scroll 30% slower
lib/wheelReports.ts SCROLL_SPEED = 0.7: a touchpad's travel is scaled, and a
wheel notch's reports are carried as a fraction (rounded, so the first notch
still moves; reset when the direction turns). xterm's own scrollback gets the
same scrollSensitivity.
2026-11-03 08:52:43 +07:00
nntrivi2001 b777e08371 fix(health): the user hover card leaves out the login name
It now opens only once the users list is read (admin/analyst): role, today's
spend, workspaces, sessions and last sign-in. A developer gets no card.
2026-11-03 08:50:26 +07:00
nntrivi2001 d0b4f8aaf6 fix(health): the user hover card sits on the name row only
Over the whole tile it opened together with the CPU bar's own help tip and
the two overlapped.

## Project mission
- Maintain a reliable local-first dashboard for Claude Code session monitoring.
@@ -65,6 +65,7 @@ A **workspace** — called a **lane** in the API, CLI, database and code, which
- **A workspace's sessions are the ones it OWNS, never the ones that ran in its folder.** `sessions.lane_id` is stamped by `bindRunSession` (`server/routes/hooks.js`) for the session a dashboard pane holds — first writer wins, a nested `claude -p` excluded — and no route sets it. A Codex/Antigravity session (their hooks are opt-in, so a pane may never learn its session) is also stamped by `claimToolSessions` (`server/lib/dashboard-runs.js`, called by both pollers and once at start): the lane of the newest same-tool dashboard run in the session's folder that was live when the session started, never a Claude session. A new Claude pane is started with `--session-id <uuid>` (`spawnRun`), so its `dashboard_runs.session_id` is known before any hook and a hook that carries no `run_id` (a hook handler older than `AGENTHUB_RUN_ID` forwarding) is still stamped from that run (`laneForSession`). Every workspace session list reads `GET /api/sessions?lane=<id>` — which also counts a still-unstamped session one of the lane's `dashboard_runs` holds, because hooks reach only the lowest-port dashboard on a shared DB and that one may be an older build that never stamps — and shows nothing else (no "other sessions in this folder"). Do not go back to listing a workspace by `cwd`, and do not guess ownership for old history. Billing has one more owner: a session NO workspace owns belongs to the user of the Linux account it ran as (`sessions.account` — the hook's peer, else its folder; `server/lib/session-account.js`, the host's account → the admin marked `users.host_account`, else the only admin), so a script's `claude -p` counts in Today, the Users page and spend quotas — a workspace's ownership always wins over it.
- **A session's worktree is `claude --worktree`'s, resolved from the session row — and removing it never forces.** A Worktree start passes `--worktree=<server-made name>` (the `=` form: `-w [name]` eats the prompt otherwise) and Claude Code makes, populates and cleans up `<repo>/.claude/worktrees/<name>`; AgentHub only excludes `/.claude/worktrees/` at the repo root. A git route, a resume or a removal may work in a session's worktree only through `sessionWorktree` (`server/lib/session-worktree.js`: the session owned by the lane, its cwd not the lane's folder, registered by `git worktree list`) — `?session=` on the git routes answers `ENOWORKTREE` rather than falling back to the main folder. `POST /api/lanes/:id/session-worktree/remove` (same-origin, `confirm: true`, refused while a live pane holds the session) is the ONE dashboard path that deletes a worktree: `git worktree remove` with no `--force`, `git branch -d` never `-D`, a live-pid lock refused. Do not add a force, and do not let it touch a lane's own folder.
- **Opening a session never resumes it — only SENDING a message to it does.** The sidebar and a workspace home ATTACH pane 0 to a session's live tmux pane (`/workspace?lane=<id>&run=<runId>`, `attachRequest` on `LaneConsolePane`) or, for an ended one, open it in its workspace like Claude Desktop (`/workspace?lane=<id>&session=<id>`, `client/src/components/lanes/SessionReplay.tsx`: its conversation read-only plus a prompt box; the console is only hidden, CSS). A resume re-reads the whole transcript into context, so it happens only on an explicit action: a message SENT from that replay (`resumeSessionId` + `prompt`, first free slot), the transcript page's **Resume**/**Fork** (`SessionResumeButton.tsx`, behind a warning), or the ticked sessions of the **Resume interrupted sessions?** dialog (`InterruptedSessionsPrompt.tsx`, `GET /api/run/interrupted` — runs whose pane died under them; opening it resumes nothing). The analysis page `/sessions/<id>` is reached from the session view's **Analyst** button (beside Files/Changes in the right panel). Do not add a path that resumes on a click. A resume is refused while a live pane holds the session (`409 ESESSIONLIVE` with that pane's `run_id`) — open that pane instead; a fork makes a new session and is allowed.
- **A chat between users is its members' alone.** `server/lib/chat.js` (`/api/chat`, server mode only): every read and write resolves the room through `roomFor(caller, id)` — not a member is `404`, an admin included, and there is no route listing another user's rooms; `chat_message`/`chat_room`/`chat_deleted` frames go only to the ids in `to` (`exactAudience`); a message is deleted only by its author; "delete chat" is the caller's alone (`cleared_id`/`hidden`), and only what EVERY member deleted is purged for real (`purge` — messages, files, a direct chat both deleted). A read mark never passes the room's newest message (it is what others see as Seen). Files are stored under a server-made name in `<data dir>/chat/<room>/` and served only to members under a `sandbox` CSP + `nosniff` (raster images inline, anything else an attachment). Do not add an admin view of chats.
- **A web page is previewed by URL in the session panel's Preview tab, never on the dashboard's origin, and every link follows ONE rule.** `client/src/components/lanes/UrlPreview.tsx` shows an `<iframe src>` whose sandbox has no `allow-top-navigation*`; `normalizePreviewUrl` (`client/src/lib/openInPreview.ts`) takes http(s) only, no userinfo, and refuses the dashboard's own origin (with `allow-same-origin` that frame would BE the dashboard). A chat link, bare URL or terminal link to `localhost`/`127.0.0.1`/`0.0.0.0`/`[::1]` opens there only while a session panel answers the event and the dashboard itself is on loopback; anything else — and any Ctrl/Cmd click — opens a browser tab. Do not add a second preview surface or a per-place button, and do not proxy a page through the dashboard's origin.
- **A chat artifact runs in its own sandbox, never on the dashboard's origin.** The artifact panel (`client/src/components/run/ChatFilePreview.tsx`, `client/src/lib/artifactView.ts`) runs model-written HTML/Mermaid/React in an `<iframe srcdoc sandbox="allow-scripts …">` and an SVG in `sandbox=""` — never add `allow-same-origin` (the script would read the dashboard's cookies and call its API as the user), never render one with `dangerouslySetInnerHTML`, and keep its CDN libraries pinned to exact versions. An HTML FILE opened from the Changes panel, a Chat file preview or the File Explorer runs in the same sandbox (`client/src/components/HtmlFrame.tsx`, shown in a modal — `HtmlViewerModal.tsx`, Chat's `FilePreview modal`); its relative CSS/scripts/images are fetched by the DASHBOARD through the existing download routes and inlined (`client/src/lib/htmlInline.ts`) — never add a route that serves a folder to the frame without the login cookie. Versions are rebuilt from Write/Edit inputs (kept up to 256 KB by `server/lib/transcript-message.js`); no copy is stored, and Save to Artifacts uses the Hub's own `pinFile`/upload routes.
- **A `cwd` can back at most one lane per tool, not one lane overall.** Uniqueness is the composite `idx_lanes_cwd_tool` (`cwd`, `tool`), not `cwd` alone — Repo/Adopt mode (`POST /api/lanes/ensure`) lets the same directory carry a `claude` lane and a `codex` lane side by side, shown as two separate cards. `resolveLaneByCwd(cwd, tool)` takes an optional `tool` filter for exactly this; hook ingestion (`touchLaneFromHook`) pins it to the hook's own tool — `claude`, `codex` for a hook posted with `tool: "codex"`, or `antigravity` for one posted with `tool: "antigravity"` (the Codex and Antigravity hook rules above) — so a hook event never touches the other tool's lane sharing the path, and stage detection (`resolveLaneForWork` + `detect`) runs for `claude` only. Worktree mode is unaffected — it already allocates a unique directory per lane.

* @file useChat.ts
* @description The pet window's chat between users (server mode only): the
* signed-in user's rooms (`GET /api/chat/rooms`), the people they can start a
* chat with (`GET /api/chat/people`, read once), and the total unread count
* for the badge on the pet. A `chat_message` frame updates its room's newest
* message and unread count in place and is handed to the open room's view
* (`onMessage`); a `chat_room` frame (made, renamed, members changed, left)
* re-reads the list. A message from someone else in a room that is not open
* on screen raises a `notice` (the pet shows it as a card that opens the
* room), plays the user's notification sound when notifications are on, and —
* while the tab is hidden and the browser allows it — shows a local system
* notification (never through the server's push relay, which would reach
* other users' devices). A room can be muted (no notice, no sound — its
* unread count still shows), kept per browser in `agenthub.chat.muted`; a
* `chat_deleted` frame drops a message from the open view and re-reads the
* list; a `chat_read` frame moves that member's read mark (`reads`, what the
* room shows as Seen). With several tabs open, only the first to see a
* message plays its sound / system notification (`agenthub.chat.notified`).
* Off in local mode — one person has no one to chat with.

**Featured pets are downloaded, never bundled.** The three offered (Goku, Border Collie, 11) are other people's uploads to codex-pets.net with no licence to redistribute them, so AgentHub ships none of their art: `POST /api/pets/featured/:id` takes only an id from the fixed list in `server/lib/pets.js` (`404 ENOPET` for any other, with no request made) and fetches `https://codex-pets.net/api/pets/<id>` and `/spritesheet` — no URL from the request, no redirects followed. A pet id is always made by the server (`p-<12 hex>` for an upload, `cp-<featured id>`), every write is same-origin (`403 EBADORIGIN`), and at most 50 pets are kept (`409 ETOOMANY`). Other errors: `413 ETOOBIG`, `502 EFETCH` (codex-pets.net unreachable or refusing).
### Chat between users (server mode)
The pet's window has a rail of chats beside the chat with the pet: direct chats (one per pair of users) and groups. Only a room's MEMBERS read or write it — an admin or analyst included; another user's room answers `404 ENOTFOUND` like a missing one. Local mode answers `400 ELOCALMODE`. Code: `server/lib/chat.js`, `server/routes/chat.js`, client `client/src/components/Sagi/ChatHub.tsx` + `useChat.ts`.
```
GET /api/chat/people {people: [{id, username, displayName, avatarAt, disabled}]} — every account but you; a disabled one is named in old chats, never offered for a new one
GET /api/chat/rooms {rooms} — yours, newest first: members, lastMessage, lastReadId, clearedId, reads (every member's read mark — "Seen"), unread
POST /api/chat/rooms {kind: "dm", userId} → the pair's one direct chat (201 new / 200 existing); {kind: "group", name?, userIds} → 201
PATCH /api/chat/rooms/:id {name?, add?, remove?} — the group's creator only (403 EFORBIDDEN)
DELETE /api/chat/rooms/:id Disband a group — its creator only, for every member, files included
POST /api/chat/rooms/:id/clear Delete the chat for YOURSELF: {hidden, purged} — see below
POST /api/chat/rooms/:id/leave Leave a group; the last one out deletes it and its files
GET /api/chat/rooms/:id/messages?before=&limit= {messages (oldest first), hasMore} — 50 by default, ≤ 200
POST /api/chat/rooms/:id/messages JSON {body} or multipart `body` + ≤ 10 `files` of ≤ 25 MB; body ≤ 8000 chars
DELETE /api/chat/rooms/:id/messages/:messageId Delete your OWN text message and its files (403 EFORBIDDEN otherwise, an admin included)
POST /api/chat/rooms/:id/read {upTo} — read mark, never moves back nor past the newest message; a move is sent as `chat_read`
GET /api/chat/rooms/:id/files/:fileId The file, members only, `sandbox` CSP + `nosniff`; PNG/JPEG/GIF/WebP inline, else attachment
```
Files are stored under `<data dir>/chat/<room id>/<32 hex id>` — a name the server makes. Right-click menus in the window: a room (open, mark read, mute notifications — per browser —, copy name, group settings, leave), the rail's pet and **+** (mark all read), a message (copy text, reply, message the sender privately, delete your own), a file (open, download, copy name) and a group member (message privately, remove — the creator). **Deleting a chat** is per person: the messages so far vanish for the caller only (`chat_members.cleared_id`) and a direct chat leaves their list (`hidden`) until a new message arrives; the others keep theirs. What EVERY member has deleted is deleted for real — the messages up to the lowest `cleared_id` and their files on disk, and a direct chat both people deleted, whole (`purge`, also run when a member leaves or is removed). A group whose creator left or was deleted passes to its longest-standing member. Group changes (`system` lines) are sent live as `chat_message` and never count as unread. An upload is written to `<data dir>/chat/.incoming/` and moved into place — never held in memory whole. In the browser, only the first tab to see a message plays its sound or shows a system notification; a message from someone in a room not on screen shows as a card on the pet. With the pet hidden, a 💬 button in the bottom-right corner (`ChatDock.tsx`) opens the same chat window. **Seen**: the room shows under your newest message "Seen" (direct chat), "Seen by …" or "Seen by everyone" (group), from `reads`. A group change adds a `system` message (`created`, `renamed`, `left`, `added:<ids>`, `removed:<ids>`). Every change is sent over `/ws` as `chat_message` (`{roomId, message, to}`), `chat_room` (`{roomId, to}`) or `chat_deleted` (`{roomId, messageId, to}`) or `chat_read` (`{roomId, userId, lastReadId, to}`) to exactly the user ids in `to` (`scope.exactAudience`), whatever their role.

An admin or analyst gets every user's, and each `session_created`, `session_updated`, `agent_created`, `agent_updated` and `new_event` frame they receive also carries `"mine": true|false`, which says whether the session is their own (the rule of `GET /api/sessions?mine=1`). /**
* @file chat.js
* @description Chat between the users of a server-mode install, shown in the
* pet's window beside the chat with the pet: a direct chat (`dm`, at most one
* per pair of users) or a group anyone may start and name. Only a room's
* MEMBERS read or write it — an admin or analyst included, and there is no
* route that lists another user's rooms. A group's creator adds, removes and
* renames; any member may leave; anyone deletes their own messages (only).
* "Delete chat" is the caller's alone: the messages so far vanish for THEM
* (`cleared_id`) and a direct chat leaves their list (`hidden`) until a new
* message arrives — the other members keep everything. Only a group's creator
* disbands it, for everyone, its files included. Once EVERY member has
* deleted a stretch of history, it is deleted for real (`purge`): the
* messages up to the lowest `cleared_id` and their files, and a direct chat
* both people deleted, whole. "Seen": each room carries every member's read
* mark (`reads`), and a read that moves is told to the members (`chat_read`) —
* a mark never passes the room's newest message, so it cannot claim to have
* seen one not yet written. A group whose creator left or was deleted passes
* to its longest-standing member (`ensureOwner`). Group changes add `system`
* lines that are sent live like messages and never count as unread. An
* upload arrives on disk (`<data dir>/chat/.incoming/`) and is renamed into
* place — never held in memory whole. A message is text (≤ 8000 chars) and up to
* `MAX_FILES` files of ≤ `MAX_FILE_BYTES` each, stored once under
* `<data dir>/chat/<room id>/<random id>` — a name the server makes, never one
* from the request — and served back only to the room's members (the route
* adds a `sandbox` CSP and `nosniff`; only raster images are shown inline).
* Every change is told to exactly the users concerned
* (`chat_message` / `chat_room` frames, `to` = their ids, see
* `scope.exactAudience`).
